10 Days / 9 Nights – Gorilla Treks and Wildlife Safari

It will take you to Uganda's un-spoilt wildlife destinations to experience nature at its best. This is where you will explore all the best Uganda has to offer to tourists in the tropic Africa. Some of the activities in this tour include game drives in hunt for the wildlife such as African lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant excellent bird watching, gorilla tracking adventures, primates trekking expeditions, cultural excursions, nature walks among others.

Day 1: Arrival Day
This is arrival day and you will be meet by our tour guide at the entrance point and been transferred to the lodge for late dinner, hot shower and an overnight. 

Day 2: Kampala – Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park three hours drive with a stop at the equator for photographs. Expect en-route game viewing with animals such as zebra, impala, eland and other savannah species and birds like African Fin foot, papyrus, bush shrike, and so on. After lunch, take an afternoon boat trip on Lake Mburo to see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and variety of bird species

including the rare shoebill. In the evening you will retire to the lodge for hot shower, dinner and overnight. 

Day 3: Lake Mburo – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest 
Early in the morning game drive to catch up with early raisers and predators returning to the hide outs, return to the lodge for full breakfast and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National park with en-route game viewing. The journey goes through beautiful views of Kigezi Hills, have picnic lunch en-rote and relax in the evening as we wait for dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort or Buhoma community Bandas. 

Day 4: Gorilla tracking Adventure 
In the morning you will have breakfast and thereafter transfer to the park headquarters (with packed lunch and water) for briefing before setting off to the forest in search for gorillas. Time taken searching for these humble giant apes is unpredictable. However, it ranges between 2-8 hours depending on their movement. The activity goes through steep rocks climbing up and down making it tiresome. Time permitting; take a cultural walk in the evening to nearby Batwa communities (Pygmies). Late afternoon return to the lodge for hot shower, dinner and over night at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma homestead.  

Day 5: Bwindi Forest – Queen Elizabeth National Park 
Have breakfast to depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park with lots of game viewing en-route, including tree-climbing lions in Ishasha sector. Relax after lunch at Mweya safari Lodge, and later go for an evening game drive to see animals like buffaloes, lions, herds of Elephants, bush bucks, bush pigs, warthogs, Deffassa waterbucks and many more. In the evening you will be back to the lodge for hot shower, dinner and overnight at the designated accommodation. 

Day 6: Full day tour activities in Queen Elizabeth Park 
After a cup of tea, chocolate or coffee, you will go for a game drive and catch up with the early risers, and predators trying to get back to their hide outs. Return for full breakfast and lunch at the lodge, relax as we wait for lunch, later go for afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga channel, famous for the highest concentration of Hippos in Africa, along side other animals like buffaloes, and huge crocodiles stretch out on the shores, as well as more than 500 birds species. 

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth – Kibale Forest 
Have breakfast to transfer to Kibale Forest National Park through Fort-portal, amidst the great mountains of the moon offering you beautiful sceneries. Lunch at Ndali lodge and proceed for chimpanzee tracking. Other popular primates include the mangabeys, colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, bush babies baboons and many more. You will have hot shower, dinner and overnight at a designated lodge. 

Day 8: Kibale Forest – Murchison Falls National Park 
Have breakfast and connect to Murchison Falls National Park, arrive by afternoon, have lunch and drive direct to the top of the falls where the park derives its name. Here you will see the calm Nile forcing its self through a narrow gorge of 7 meters wide to fall a distance of about 150 ft down producing a thunderous roar of white water- incredible scenery. In the late afternoon you will be transferred to the lodge for hot shower, dinner and overnight.  

Day 9: Full Day tour activities in Murchison Falls Park 
Take a cup of hot chocolate, tea or coffee and you will be going for a game drive before dawn to catch up with predators and early risers. Common wildlife include jackals, lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, giraffe, antelope, elephant, buffaloes, Uganda kob and many more. You will retire from the game drive for late breakfast and lunch and then in the afternoon you will go for a boat ride on the Victoria Nile.  The boat trip will take you to the bottom of the falls where you will view animals like the buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of water birds like fish eagles and rare shoebills and many more. 

Day 10: Picnic drive Back to Kampala 
After breakfast, we can take a short game drive and then drive back to Kampala, stop at the Royal drum makers to have a look at the local methods of drum making that have been adopted for generations. You will thereafter been transferred to the lodge or hotel for a day stay before been transferred to the airport later evening to connect with the flight back home.
